The biggest challenge of the tennis world is to maintain the popularity of the racket sport outside the world of ‘The Big Three’. Roger Federer tearfully bid farewell to the game in September 2022. Whereas, Rafael Nadal who is currently nursing a hip injury had already hinted that the next season could be his last. Now, the 36-year-old Serbian, Novak Djokovic suddenly finds himself as the last man standing. Does it add an extra pressure to his performance?

Well, the results tell us a different story. A story of a ‘36-year-young‘, who is still battling out with the rising talents of the game. This indeed can be worrying for the young players as the 24-time Grand Slam title holder doesn’t seem to slow down his pace. But for the fans, it’s always a thrill to watch The Serbinator doing what he does best.

The Serbian who is currently number one has achieved remarkable feats throughout his career. He has a record for holding the number 1 spot for a total of 398 weeks in 12 different years. Not only that, he is also the only player to complete a career Golden Masters twice in his career and the only player to win a triple-career Grand Slam. However, apart from these game stats, Djokovic has recently created a new and slightly different record.

Novak Djokovic had a stellar season this year, in which he had won 3 out of 4 major tournaments. Recently after his win at the Paris Masters, he has almost secured his year-end top spot in the rankings for the 8th time in his career. His impact in the Paris-Bercy tournament has been immense. This tournament witnessed a record video view of 27 million, which is a 50% increase from last year. That’s quite an astonishing figure even for a 54-year-old tournament.

As the ‘Djoker’ keeps creating new records, a major question lurks behind. Can Djokovic successfully end the year carrying forward the legacy in the absence of Nadal and Federer? However, even if his on-court form ever slows down, his off-court glory will never fade. Thanks to his kindness.

During the times of the COVID-19 pandemic and Australian bush-fire, he made several donations to help the victims. Even in recent times during the Paris Masters, he showed his true colors. Djokovic was seen consoling Grigor Dimitrov who broke down in tears after his defeat to the world number 1. He even appreciated the efforts put in by the Bulgarian throughout the season with his consistent performance.

However, that’s not all. After the match, Djokovic went to meet his fans and sign a few autographs. To witness the champion closely, the crowd rushed in to get a sneak peek. Everyone was in awe and they overlooked a little girl who got stuck in the middle of the crowd. She was seen struggling to get out of the swarming crowd. But thanks to a cameraman and a vigilant staff member, she got rescued. Djokovic then rushed to the little girl to ensure she was okay and also hugged her.
