Yep, all eyes were on Michelsen’s box, where his girlfriend Caroline Girard was front and center, cheering him on with unmatched enthusiasm.  And the buzz is real: Who is Caroline, and how is she fueling Michelsen’s incredible run in Melbourne?

The American star took on Russian stalwart Karen Khachanov at the John Cain Arena on Saturday and left him baffling in straight sets. Despite Khachanov firing a whopping 14 aces in the match, Michelsen remained stoic and pulled up a victory, 6-3, 7-6(5), 6-2. And supporting him in his endeavor was his girlfriend Caroline who ensured to dazzle the off-court scene, matching her beau’s on-court prowess.

The couple have been dating for quite some time now and Caroline also accompanied Michelsen at the ASB Classic in Auckland, where the star player advanced to the quarterfinals. Girard is a first-year honors student at Southern Methodist University and unlike her partner, she is not involved much with the Sports world. Rather, she is fascinated about learning finances and is developing great acumen related to the subject. And while many details about the beginning of their bond are not known yet, the ATP star has expressed immense love for her.

You need good people there to support you.” But besides his girlfriend, there is yet another important figure in Michelsen’s life and it is none other than her mother, Sondra. And guess what?
