At the Monte-Carlo Masters, Nagal defeated Italy’s Matteo Arnaldi in three sets to win his first-ever ATP Masters 1000 series match, marking a major turning point in his career. This accomplishment demonstrated Nagal’s quick rise in the tennis world and drove him to the 93rd spot in the ATP rankings.

Nagal has been training with German tennis coach Sascha Nensel to hone his abilities and accomplish his objectives in the professional game, and he has finally made his place in the top hundred ATP rankings, making everyone proud.

Although he is the first Indian player in 42 years to qualify for the event’s main draw, Nensel helped him with a plethora of experience and knowledge, helping him navigate the demands of the ATP tour and offering insightful advice to improve his game. While everyone was quite happy with the success he has been receiving on the court, his coach also highlighted the struggle behind it.

The 53-year-old coach said, “We need wins on the ATP Tour. We need to get fine ATP tournaments. We need to probably try to win one of those tournaments. We need to keep improving and improving the ranking. It’s not stopping right here. Now the work really starts and hopefully, the future will be good to us.”

Renowned tennis coach Sascha Nensel, who founded an academy in the German town of Peine, is surrounded by a coaching staff that includes former Indian tennis player Somdev Devvarman and fitness instructor Milos Galecic.
