A popular face on Instagram, Mia Savio has her roots in Melbourne, while her father is Italian. Even earlier this year, when the world No. 38 player was busy at the Australian Open, supporting him in the stands was his girlfriend. Later on, Arnaldi revealed how he shares a special connection with Australia. “I really like Australia. My girlfriend is from Australia. I spent the preseason here in Melbourne. And I feel a bit of myself is Australian. So I really feel good to play here.”

He further went on to add, “I feel at home, from one side, because she is from Melbourne, so we have the apartment there, so we can stay home and it is pretty nice. It’s really important for me to start the season here. I would like to do well here, for sure, for all the reasons.”

Sadly, Matteo Arnaldi fell short against Alex de Minaur in the second-round of the Australian Open 2024. But it set the stage for him to accomplish greater heights as the season proceeded. A quarterfinalist in Barcelona and in Turin, he is now all set to face Stefanos Tsitsipas in the fourth round of the French Open. 

However, on the other hand, not much is known about his girlfriend’s professional career. But Savio, who is two years younger than the Italian player, shares occasional glimpses of her personal life on her Instagram account. A few months ago, when the 23-year-old player won the second round in Miami, Arnaldi took him to a Drake concert. Later, she wrote on Instagram, “Get yourself a boyfriend who wins his match at 6 and takes you to Drake at 8,” and shared pictures of them together there. However, a different scenario was noticed in the Davis Cup final of 2023.

When he earned the trophy by defeating Jannik Sinner, an emotional Arnaldi went up to his girlfriend and cried in joy in her arms. He dedicated his victory to her girlfriend’s late father and said, “It’s very emotional. More because a very important person passed away a month ago for me and my girlfriend. So this is for him. She doesn’t know what it means for me.”

Currently, Matteo Arnaldi’s goal is clear as he moves ahead with the dream of winning his first grand slam in Paris. Whether he thrives in the match or not, he will definitely have the support of Mia Savio, throughout the tournament.
