Spanish tennis star Pedro Martinez is currently running the show at the Club de Tenis do Estoril. The most recent feather to the cap being his victory over  No. 1 seed Casper Ruud of Norway on Saturday. With this victory, the 26-year-old Spaniard is currently just a step behind clinching his second ATP Tour title of his career. However, the person that runs the show for Pedro Martinez off the court deserves a special mention.

Claudia Espejo, a 29-year-old lady from Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, has been the strongest pillar of Pedro’s journey so far. Espejo has been with Pedro Martinez for over 6 years now. The couple even welcomed their first child, a boy, on 23rd November last year. They named him Pedrito Jr and the couple had announced his arrival through a post on their social media accounts.

Talking about her academics, career and hobbies, Claudia Espejo studied at Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya from 2013 to 2018. Then after that, she even worked for Deloitte as an analyst in 2018. Currently, Claudia is working as a project manager officer at Better Consultants. 

Looking at her social media accounts, it’s quite evident that she loves animals. She even has around seven dogs at her home. Pedro Martinez’s girlfriend loves to travel and has a special attraction towards nail art. The 29-year-old Spaniard has often reflected her love for these through her posts on IG.

To the contrary, Pedro Martinez has always been a quiet guy off the court who loves to spend time with his family when he’s at home. In 2022, Martinez clinched his first ATP Tour title at the Chile Dove Men+Care Open. After his emphatic victory, probably it was the first time that Pedro Martinez spoke about his girlfriend publicly during an interview with the ATP Tour.

Well, after winning the title in Santiago, in 2022, during the post-match interview, Pedro Martinez was asked to take a moment to acknowledge some of the key figures in his life who have helped him to reach his milestone. He spoke about his parent and grandfather and then went on to add about his girlfriend.

“For sure my parents, they supported me when I was a kid. My grandfather, all my family was behind me when I needed. My girlfriend, I’ve been with her for four and a half years(at that time). She comes with me everywhere that I decide to go.” The Spanish tennis player further added, “We’ve moved a few times from one house to another, and she’s always by my side and a big support for me.”
