Based originally in Thousand Oaks, California, Marcos was raised in a household filled with love for the sport. Born to Argentine and Ecuadorian parents, Marcos’s upbringing brought him across with the sport, which he later fell in love with.

Marcos’ father Andres Giron, a Spanish national, is not just a parent but also a physician by profession. Moving ahead in the journey of his life partnered up with his wife Rosanna, Andres raised two children, Marcos and his sister Gabriela. Along with the love that they received, the young tennis star and his sister were raised in an environment where encouragement and dedication were abundant.

Tennis was ingrained in Marcos Giron’s life from a young age. While his dad enjoyed friendly matches with his buddies, his mom patiently fed him balls. However, the happy married life of his parents had to go through several ups and downs, finally leading to a disturbing separation.

The moment when Marcos Giron’s parents separated

Back in 2014, Marcos Giron faced a sudden shock in his family dynamics when his parents, Andres and Rosanna, decided to part ways. This news hit at a critical moment, as Marcos was going through a tough situation already because of a hip injury. The shock of his parents’ divorce left Marcos stunned with emotions he never experienced before, mainly because of the consistent happiness in his family.

After the separation, Marcos continuously went through a difficult situation wherein he had to accept a new reality of splitting his time between his parents. While his tennis training and rehabilitation already made his schedule quite occupied, he decided to move forward with his tennis career, with his parents escaping the spotlight eye and focusing on rebuilding their lives.
