Who are Carlos Alcaraz’s parents?
We all know how having a supportive family environment is extremely important to achieve a modicum of success in life. The same is the case with players, especially young ones like Alcaraz. The Spaniard was born to Carlos Alcaraz Gonzalez and Virginia Garfia, and live in El Palmar, Murcia, Spain. A 2003-born, he celebrates his birthday on the 5th of May, which generally falls during the Mutua Madrid Open.
Alcaraz’s father used to be a tennis player himself, and it was him who introduced his eldest son to the game when he was a wee kid of 4. Growing up, Rafael Nadal, used to be Alcaraz’s idol, and was someone he looked up to and wanted to emulate.
His parents are often seen in his box, supporting their son, as he goes about his business dominating the top players in the ATP circuit. Carlos also has 3 brothers, Alvaro, Sergio, and Jaime.

2022 has been ever so fantastic for the youngster. He started his season with the Australian Open, where he lost to Matteo Berrettini in the third round. He won his first ATP 500 at the Rio Open, by defeating Diego Schwartzman in the final, but more importantly he defeated some top players on his way to the title. And broke into the Top 20 with the win. At the Indian Wells Masters, his performance was also quite impressive, and he reached the semifinal, before losing in a three-set battle to Rafael Nadal.

Seeded 14th, he won at the Miami Open and becoming the youngest men’s champion in the tournament’s history. He then played at the Barcelona Open, where he defeated top seed Stefanos Tsitsipas in the quarterfinals, to enter the ATP Top Ten for the first time. Alcaraz won this tournament as well by defeating fellow Spaniard Pablo Carreño Busta in straight sets.

He celebrated his 19th birthday the following day in May, by recording a win over the king of clay, Rafael Nadal in the quarterfinals of the Madrid Open. He followed this incredible feat by defeating the World No. 1 Novak Djokovic, in the semifinals and World No. 3 Alexander Zverev in the finals to win his fourth title of the season, and his second masters 1000 title.
Well, given the Spaniard’s skills and maturity on the court. We are certain that this is only the beginning of Alcaraz’s dominance in the circuit!
