Arthur Fery is gearing up to bring his ‘A’ game to the flushing meadows of Wimbledon. Facing Daniel Altmaier on the opposite side of the net, Fery is determined to leave his mark with the utmost determination to establish his name in the tennis world. However, he won’t be alone on this journey, as his supportive parents will be there to cheer him on and push him towards glory. Like Fery, his parents are no strangers to the athletic world, with their own records in tennis underscoring the family’s love for the sport.
Born in 2002, the British tennis pro showed interest in tennis at a very young age. His parents, Loic and Olivia Fery, supported and encouraged him to pursue his dream. Arthur Fery was following in the footsteps of his mother, Olivia, who once had a professional tennis career. Olivia’s records, especially on clay, highlight her love and commitment to the sport. Her peak came in the 1990 French Open, where she reached the final qualifying round. Additionally, she made it to the main draw in the doubles category during the 1991 French Open.
Arthur Fery’s mother, showcasing her talent in both singles and doubles, won bronze medals in both categories at the 1993 Summer Universiade. She also represented the Hong Kong Fed Cup team, earning a victory in the 1998 national championships. Fery later competed in three Fed Cup ties in 2000 against Japan, Thailand, and Kazakhstan. Under her maiden name, Gravereaux, she achieved a ranking of 225 during her tennis career.

The French tennis pro eventually retired from the sport in 2000, taking home two ITF titles and leaving the courts with a career record of 33-25. Despite retiring, Olivia’s love for the sport persisted. The 51-year-old, who once attended the University of Arizona, helped her son Arthur in his pursuit of excellence in tennis. On the other hand, Arthur Fery’s father, Loic, holds an interest in a different sport. A businessman in France, Loic owns the French football club FC Lorient.

Loic is not only the president of FC Lorient but also a prominent co-chief investment officer of the London-based investment company Chenavari, where he also serves as the chief executive officer. On the personal front, Arthur and Olivia are the parents of three children: Arthur, Albane, and Maxime. Arthur, the eldest, who achieved a ranking of 243 in the ATP, is currently set to make his dreams come true at Wimbledon.

Expressing his raw emotions before the match, Fery said, “I’m a bit more used to it after playing here last year and I can’t wait. It should be just another draw, another tournament, but this is Wimbledon and it means so much more. I live just around the corner from this club and it has always been a dream to play here, so I can’t wait.”
With the support of his family, Arthur Fery is now vying for his first Grand Slam. Fans are eagerly waiting to see him shine and give his best performance on the court.
