Rafael Nadal resides in the core of every tennis fan’s heart. One of the greatest and, justifiably, highest-paid tennis players has reigned in the sport for decades, garnering praise from fans worldwide. The tennis world knows Rafa’s power, but very few have seen the King of Clay basking in the Sun in his hidden kingdom in Mallorca, where love and luxury reign supreme. On the picturesque island of Mallorca, Nadal enjoys his private haven with his wife, Maria Francisca Perello, and son. The secrets of his tranquil retreat are jaw-dropping!
Believe it or not, Nadal’s supremacy in tennis has earned him a net worth of nearly $220 million (as of May 2024)! Therefore, it is evident that his luxurious house will also have a touch of grandeur in every part of it. And if one looks at his port-side Mallorcan oasis, it is sure to take away one’s breath.
Tucked away in a secluded corner of the island, the sea-facing house worth €4 million, or $52,15,380 (when he bought it), is a work of wonder. And the former World No. 1 enjoys every bit of it, be it strolling in the 1.7-acre plot of land in Porto Cristo or taking a bath in the sea, Nadal has found his secret palace, where he unwinds with Maria and his son Rafa Jr.

The Spaniard called it his home for the first time about a decade ago, later transforming the original Mallorcan stone villa into his own paradise. The giant house is a two-story building consisting of three bedrooms, large windows, and a gym, and its lavish style perfectly aligns with the luxurious lifestyle that the 38-year-old follows.

Designed by the architect, Tomeu Esteva, the remodeling of the house started in 2019, ultimately giving rise to a place that boasts a pool along with a number of terraces and a garden full of flowering plants. Nadal often shares a few glimpses of his abode, which further provides a peek into the spacious lounge areas where he practices tennis.

Besides, the house is closer to the port, where the Spaniard keeps his catamaran, too. Interestingly, that’s not the only house he has bought. There’s another beach home where he is often found with his family.
Nadal’s love for beach houses
“I always had the theory that the most important thing is be happy, enjoy what are you doing, and be fresh mentally. I love the beach, I love the sea. All my life I live within – in front of the sea,” Nadal said once. And his love for beaches does not only extend to visiting them but also to buying a house closer to the waters. As the Spaniard’s eye fell on a two-storey villa in the Dominican Republic, he quickly gave the residence his own name. A well-deserved gift to himself, undoubtedly!

The Caribbean beach mansion, situated in the Palaya Nueva Romana, has every facility, be it for tennis or otherwise. Be it a beach club or a tennis court, he has everything to have a perfect, peaceful day in the whole complex, with its three bedrooms. The house, which he bought for $2 million, is a place for him and his family to relax.
His abodes are more than just a home for him. Rather, they are the sanctuary where Nadal recharges, refocuses, and comes back to a tennis court with more energy and enthusiasm!
