The National Bank Open is back this year and is set to kick start from August 6. The prestigious tournament is the second oldest tournament in the history of the sport, just behind Wimbledon Championships. Moreover, the excitement will be higher this year after last year’s cancelation.

The draws for the men’s and women’s main event will take place tomorrow. However, the qualifiers take place on August 7 and 8.

When is the draws for National Bank Open 2021?

After a year-long hiatus, the event preceding the US Open is back. The National Bank Open will take place in Toronto for the men’s event, whereas it will take place in Montreal for the women’s event. The men’s event draw takes place today in Toronto at 12 PM CDT. On the other hand, the women’s event draw will take place at 1 PM CDT.

The likes of Daniil Medvedev, Rafael Nadal, and Stefanos Tsitsipas will battle it out on the court for the title. Nadal will be defending his 2019 title against some tough opponents this year. The Spaniard will be aiming for his sixth title in Canada. However, Medvedev is the top seed in the men’s singles category.

In the women’s singles category, Naomi Osaka takes up the top seed and will be aiming for a strong comeback through this tournament. The women’s draw will be another interesting event to watch out for.

Where to watch the draws?

The National Bank Open has announced that the draws will be streamed on their official Facebook handle. However, there are other alternatives for those without a Facebook account. The draws will also be available live on Tennis TV as well as the official website of the National Bank Open.

The tournament will miss the likes of Novak Djokovic and Dominic Thiem in addition to many other players who have withdrawn from the tournament. However, the tournament is now wide open for any of the players to clinch the title, both men’s and women’s categories.
