Novak Djokovic faced Alex Popyrin at the Australian Open. Being the home favorite, Alex got all the support that he could have thought of. But, it was ultimately Novak who came in and clinched the match. However, during the match, the Serbian got into an exchange of words with a fan as he was going all in and showing his support for Alex. Replying to this, Nick Kyrgios suggested that he could come right into the court and offer Serbian support if he needed.
“When he was heckling you Novak, I said to the commentary box and everybody worldwide I was like ‘If you want me to jump in the crowd and sort him out, I’ll do it for you bro’. “I’ve got your back, 100 per cent,” said Kyrgios.
Thus, despite not labelling him as a top contender, the bond between the two is stronger and Nick has always been there for the Serbian whenever he needs him.
