Wedding bells are indeed ringing for tennis stars across the globe. At first, it was Madison Keys who tied the knot with her coach, Bjorn Fratangelo, and now, Casper Ruud is another star who will be tying the knot soon. Ruud has been in a relationship with Maria Galligani since 2018, and the two have decided to take another step in their relationship. As a result, Ruud took to social media to make the big announcement.

Sharing some adorable glimpses of him with his girlfriend, Ruud revealed his excitement to get married to his beau. Additionally, Ruud wrote, “Can’t wait to marry you,” as the biggest day of his life neared. The 25-year-old ended the caption with a ring and a white-colored heart as his love for his longtime girlfriend overflowed. With Ruud getting engaged to his long-time girlfriend, a new chapter in their relationship developed as wedding bells ring for the power couple.

However, unlike many sporting couples, Ruud and Galligani have preferred to keep it low-key. They are seldom seen sharing glimpses of their private moments on social media. When asked why he wants his personal life to be away from the limelight, Ruud mentioned, “She doesn’t want it. She wants to be her own, in control of her own kind of life and especially personal life. I’m happy that she’s found that way. I mean, it’s her choice. Obviously, we met before I got to the level I was at now, so things have changed for her, as well, and it hasn’t always been easy.”

Meanwhile, after a hectic tennis season, Ruud is enjoying personal time off with his family. During an interview earlier this month, he made a candid revelation on his personal life.

Casper Ruud likes to keep it cool and calm

Ruud perfectly defines the region he comes from and his nature also depicts it. Coming from the icy-cold region of Norway, Ruud is also defined by a calm and relaxed nature. After the ATP Finals, where he reached the semifinals, Ruud was asked to describe his personality.

He mentioned, “I would say I’m a quite relaxed person. I’m very kind of, what should I say, I’m a family guy. I like spending time with family. I have a good relationship with everyone in my family. I love going to Sunday dinners, either my side of the family or with my girlfriend’s side. It’s a typical thing to do in Norway, kind of, like a gathering on a Sunday. I like to explore different stuff. I like to keep my kind of mind and my head busy. Obviously, I didn’t finish school, so there is a lot of things that I know that I can learn about many different things, but I find, you know, like we don’t need to go into it.”

With almost a month left before the start of the 2025 season, Ruud will look to enjoy his time off the court with his family. As the events passed by this year for Ruud, the next year could potentially be one of the biggest seasons of his career.
