Carlos Alcaraz suffered a shock 5-7, 6-2, 6-4 defeat against Grigor Dimitrov while trying to make it to the quarterfinals of the Shanghai Masters. After facing an upsetting exit from the tournament, Alcaraz took to his Twitter account to share a note regarding his defeat and talked about the next stage of the tennis season.

He wrote, “t is not the result I wanted, but… we are going home! 🥲 Congratulations to @GrigorDimitrov for the win! 🤝🏻 Time to get ready for the final stage of the season!” Along with that, he shared a picture of himself from the tournament as he found the silver lining despite losing – of being able to return home.  In no time, tennis fans flooded the comment section to cheer him up after he lost to the 19th-seeded tennis player.

A fan made an encouraging statement and wrote, “You will come back stronger, king.”
