Rafael Nadal will be finally making his comeback to professional tennis soon. The Spaniard has been away from the ATP Tour since Washington Open in August 2021. However, just ahead of his return at the Mudabala World Tennis Championship in Abu Dhabi, Nadal sent a lovely message to all his fans.
In the video, the former World No. 1 looked happy and confident. Nadal will be returning on the ATP tour after recovering from his foot injury. It’s been a while since fans saw Rafael Nadal in action on the court.

Rafael Nadal sends a positive message to his fans
After almost four months, the tennis world will watch Rafael Nadal compete again professionally. Nadal released a video greeting fans ahead of his comeback. He said, “Hello everyone, Rafa here! I’m very happy to be back at the Mubadala World Championship in Abu Dhabi. I hope to see you there.”
The exhibition tournament will commence from 16th December till 18th December at the Abu Dhabi International Tennis complex. Notably, Nadal has won the competition five times since its inauguration in 2009. The Spaniard is also the defending champion, having lifted the cup in 2019. The tournament was suspended in 2020 due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
The tournament will also feature other stars such as Emma Raducanu, Belinda Bencic, and Andy Murray.

Nadal will participate at the Australian Open 2022
The 20-time Grand Slam champion has also confirmed his participation at the Australian Open 2022. This year, the Australian Open will be intriguing to watch as all the ‘Big Three’ are tied at 20 Major Slams.

Unfortunately, Roger Federer has pulled out from the mega-event in Melbourne Park and Novak Djokovic is yet to confirm his participation. Given these circumstances, Nadal has a golden chance to aim for his 21st Grand Slam title in January 2022.
