Not many players in the ATP circuit can boast of beating Rafael Nadal on clay. In fact, Nadal has never lost a semi-final game at Roland Garros. His record in Paris is breathtaking, as only two players (Novak Djokovic and Robin Soderling) have ever managed to outplay Rafa at Roland Garros.
Diego Schwartzman looks like yet another player who falls to Nadal’s sword. However, the Argentine just doesn’t look like he wants to go down easy. Diego Schwartzman has truly elevated his game to a different level. It has helped him beat one of the tournament favorites Dominic Thiem in the quarters.

The odds are against Schwartzman, and he must be loving it. Athletes sometimes tend to display a fiery game when they are carded as the underdog. However, Nadal is a serious contender when it comes to Roland Garros.
Even though the Spaniard faced a shock defeat to Schwartzman at the Italian Open, it looks like he will get past him in Paris and book a place in what would be his fourth successive Roland Garros finals.
