The World No. 1, Novak Djokovic, is having a remarkable season in 2021. Currently, the Serb is playing some of his best tennis at the Davis Cup. To no surprise, Djokovic has guided Serbia to the semi-finals of the competition. However, Davis Cup recently released a video of Novak from their quarter-finals battle and fans can’t seem to get over it.

In the behind-the-scenes footage, an animated Djokovic was seen leaping up and down in excitement, cheering on his teammates from the sidelines, and communicating with the crowd. The short clip caught the 20-time Grand Slam winner going through a roller-coaster of emotions, speaking for his passion for the game.

Novak Djokovic’s emotions

Novak Djokovic has always considered representing his country as a matter of great pride. Currently, the World No. 1 is leading Team Serbia at Davis Cup 2021, where things are pretty much going his way, as Serbia has now entered the semi-finals of the tournament.

During their match against Kazakhastan, Djokovic was going through mixed emotions. A video shared by Davis Cup describes the roller coaster of emotions the Serb went through, while his team battled it out on the court. Providing them with all the support he could, the Serbian GOAT was constantly cheering for his colleagues.

However, at intense moments, Djokovic showed the tense side of him as well. While, during good points, he interacted with the crowd to keep on supporting them. Soon after Davis Cup released the video, Djokovic replied to it with laughing emojis.

It appears that Novak Djokovic wants to take the Davis Cup trophy back to Serbia. Team Serbia won their only Davis Cup title in 2010.

Team Serbia to face Croatia in the semi-finals

Team Serbia has successfully defeated Kazakhstan in the quarter-finals of the competition. Hence, they will next face Team Croatia. Djokovic and the teammates fought back against Kazakhstan in a tightly contested match, to book their spot in the final 4.

On the other side, Daniil Medvedev‘s Russian Tennis Federation will lock horns with Team Germany. It is highly likely that Djokovic and Medvedev will face each other in the finals of the Davis Cup. Both the players have had an extraordinary year, in terms of winning titles. It will be intriguing to see who ends their season on a high note, attaining the final bragging rights.
