The prestigious Davis Cup 2021 has kicked off from today. Novak Djokovic will be leading the charge for the Serbia Team, while Daniil Medvedev commands a strong Russian team. Ahead of the competition, the world No. 1 is spotted playing a fun game with his Serbian teammates in Innsbruck, Austria.

The Serbian Team was playing a fun, school-yard game with racquets and balls. It seems like the Davis Cup players possess some special skills apart from playing tennis.

Novak Djokovic and the team having some fun

Novak Djokovic registered an unfortunate loss against Alexander Zverev in the semi-finals of the 2021 ATP Finals. However, the Serb fancies to bounce back at the Davis Cup. Just prior to the tournament, Djokovic along with Team Serbia was enjoying their fun session in Innsbruck, Austria.

The Davis Cup players were indulged in a funny contest between racquets and balls. Novak Djokovic also took active participation in the game. It seems like the Serbian players are quite confident ahead of their first match clash.

The 20-time Grand Slam winner will be taking charge of Team Serbia at Davis Cup 2021. The Serb has already dominated this season, majestically winning three out of four Grand Slam titles. The world No. 1 is now looking to lift the trophy for his country at Davis Cup.

Djokovic’s record at Davis Cup

Novak Djokovic of Serbia made his Davis Cup debut in the year 2004. Since then, Djokovic has triumphed over many intense matches. Statistically, he has a win-loss record of 34-7 in the singles event. For the doubles event, he holds 3-4.

Team Serbia lifted their maiden Davis Cup trophy in the year 2010. Moreover, the team was the finalist against the Czech Republic in 2013 but couldn’t seal the victory.

In addition, with his extraordinary form this year, Djokovic would be hoping to end his 2021 season with another title. Along with Djokovic, Filip Krajinovic, Dusan Lajovic, Laslo Djere, and Miomir Kecmanovic are included in Team Serbia.
