After failing to qualify into the quarter-finals of the Australian Open 2021, the Austrian faced first-round exits at the ATP Dubai, Lyon Open, and at the French Open 2021. He didn’t look in great touch and unfortunately, injured himself right ahead of the Wimbledon Championships 2021.
It is because of these poor performances that Thiem failed to bag any significant ATP points from the Grand Slams this year. Moreover, since he won’t be able to qualify for the ATP Finals 2021, it looks as if his 2021 season is almost over.
