Dominic Thiem had to cut short his 2021 tour after the Austrian injured his wrist at the Mallorca Open. However, he has displayed his juggling skills by utilizing his leg efficiently. The World No.6 was the number two seed at the Mallorca Open when he injured his wrist during his second-round match.
Thiem had to withdraw from the Wimbledon Championships due to his injury, as a result of which he dropped in rankings as well. However, the Austrian is hopeful of a return on the court at the US Open in August to defend his title.

The Austrian was shooting for Jan Stollberg, film director, as he displayed his juggling skills in front of the crew. Thiem posted an Instagram story with his right wrist plastered due to the injury he suffered in Mallorca.
Thiem did not take part in any event this summer; however, his national soccer team did contest at the Euro 2020 Championships. They lost to eventual champions, Italy, in the round of 16 stages. Thiem could not support them at the stadium; however, he did cheer for them from home.

Dominic Thiem is on his road to recovery, as he prepares for a comeback. However, his time off the court has been an entertaining one, as he has been attending F1 races. The Austrian attended the Styrian GP as well as the Spielberg GP.

He described his experience at the races on his website, as he also met a few other sports stars. The tennis star met Timo Werner, German Soccer star, and Sebastian Vettel, German racer. After a difficult year, Thiem moved down a place in the rankings and is experiencing a 9-9 win-loss record. Thiem deserved the much-needed break from the court.
After a series of poor performances at the major events, Thiem will be looking for a great result at the US Open. The injury forced the Austrian to withdraw from the Swiss Open at Gstaad, beginning from Saturday, July 17.
