The entire tennis fraternity has been asking the same question for quite some time now – When will the Swiss Maestro be back? Roger Federer has been one of the most successful players on the ATP tour ever and given his charisma and skill both on and off the court, he is one of the most well-known and loved players on the circuit. Even though he has had a long and successful career, no one wants to see the end and the burning question of everyone’s mind is concerning his comeback.

Recently, the 40-year-old decided to post a reel on his Instagram to tease his fans about his comeback. While he does not explicitly tell when he’ll be back but he seems to be moving well and into his workout. In the reel, he is seen practicing his footwork. As all his fans can vouch for, his footwork might have been the most graceful aspect of his game altogether.

Fans react to Roger Federer posting a video of his training

As soon as Federer posted the video, majority of his fans began to react in excitement. Sara Foster, wife of former player Tommy Haas, wrote that the video was definitely not made by Federer himself given how trendy music had been added and the video is also nicely edited. Several fans appreciated his form and techniques and seemed to be excited to see their favorite star moving so well again!

Was that swing with…TWO HANDS???” one fan said while another one called him “Legendary.” Many also called him the GOAT and appreciated his new found Instagram skills.

Most of his 2020 season was spent in recovering from double knee surgeries. The last match he has played was at the Wimbledon last year, where he lost to Hubert Hurkacz in the Quarterfinals, breaking Ken Rosewall’s record of being the oldest athlete to reach a quarterfinal. But at the tournament, he suffered a setback and has been off the circuit since then.

The 20-time Grand Slam champion has said that he will miss both the clay and the grass season this year. But, fans are hoping to see Federer back on the court soon.
