Roger Federer is the same as Stephen Curry

Steve Kerr, coach of the NBA team Golden State Warriors, shared a memory of Federer that made him think of Stephen Curry. He said, “We actually met Federer a few years ago in china when we played in Shanghai. He came and spoke to our locker room and Draymond asked him how have you been doing this for 20 years? And his answer was just simple, yet profound. “

Thereafter, he detailed how a normal day in the Swiss legend’s life looks like. Kerr, repeating Federer’s words, said, “He said, I love my daily ritual. I get up and make my kids breakfast, drop them off at school, go train and you know I have figured out the right training methods to keep me in the best position at my age. I love competing. But every single day I put my head on the pillow at the end of the day and think, what a great day.”

“So I think of Steph a lot. I think that story from Roger Federer is very similar sort of zest for life and just joy for the process,” he added. Thus summing up how regardless of the vast different in the both sports, players who are at the pinnacle share similar thoughts and lifestyles.

Federer’s comeback

The Former World No.1 is being kept out of the circuit because of his knee injury. His last appearance was at the 2021 Wimbledon Championship where he faced a quarterfinals defeat against the Pole Hubert Hurkacz. Now after almost a year, Federer has announced his comeback.

The Swiss legend will restart his journey at the Laver cup followed by a tournament in his homeland. He has signed for the upcoming Swiss Indoors Basel. The 10 times singles champion in Basel will be defending his title in this year’s event.
