Roger Federer confirmed late in 2020 that he will miss the Australian Open this year. The Swiss Maestro was expected to make a grand return at Melbourne, but injuries didn’t allow him to achieve ideal fitness in time.
“I’ve been thinking about when and where to come back for a long time. Australia was a touch too early because of my knee. That hurts. It’s one of the places where I love to play the most,” Federer said in an interview with SRF (Quotes translated from German via Google).
