Famous Australian tennis player Nick Kyrgios suffered an injury during his third-round match at the Wimbledon Championships 2021. Facing Canadian star, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Kyrgios won the second set but then decided to walk out as he was not able to serve properly. The final scoreline of the match at this point was 2-6, 6-1.
Due to the injury, Nick Kyrgios withdrew from the Wimbledon Championships 2021 after winning two matches there. Nobody knows about the extent of the injury as of now but it will surely take him a few days to recover.
In a recent interview, Kyrgios talked about the possibility of playing at the Tokyo Olympics 2021. He mentioned that he would only play the Olympics if the organizers would allow it to take place with full crowds.

“If I’m to play the Olympics I wanna do it the right way. I wanna do it with full crowds, with my guests there. I want to do it when I’m able to watch other athletes do their thing. That’s the Olympics for me,” said Kyrgios in the interview.
The Australian also stated that he wants fewer restrictions there where he will be able to watch other athletes playing their sports as well.

Nick Kyrgios is unhappy with the way the Olympics are taking place this year

Kyrgios reflected that the way in which the current management is organizing the biggest sporting event is not at all right. He feels that the Olympics are not looking like the Olympics at all this year because of the unlimited restrictions.
“The Olympics, the way it’s going to go on, is not the Olympics” added the Australian player.
