Recently, Rafael Nadal withdrew from the semi-final of the Wimbledon Championships after abdominal muscle tear, in the quarter-final match against the American Taylor Fritz. Before his semi-final match against Nick Kyrgios, he scheduled a press conference to announce the sad news to the fans.

Since then, the Spaniard has been spending some quality time with family and friends in Formentera. Recently, a video clip surfaced on social media, where Nadal showed his Shakira-like dance moves.

Many fans thought Nadal would be spending some quiet time to recover from the injury before the US Open. However, Nadal has been having fun during his holiday. Previously, we saw him riding a jet ski and enjoying his time on a yacht; Now, we are seeing him dancing while holding a glass in his hand. You can check the clip below.
Notably, Nadal already collaborated with Shakira in the past, as he appeared in a video song by Shakira called, ‘Gypsy’.
Incidentally, this is not the first time Nadal showed his incredible dance moves. In 2011, after winning the Davis Cup, the whole Spanish team broke the dance floor while celebrating the victory. Along with Nadal, another Spaniard, Feliciano Lopez, also joined him on the dance floor.

Earlier at the Wimbledon Championships, Nadal revealed the injury, a 7 mm tear in his abdominal muscle, which would keep him out for a month. That means he can make his return to the US Open, as it will take place at the end of August.

Notably, Nadal was vying for his 23rd Grand Slam title at Wimbledon and his third consecutive Major of this year. However, the abdominal injury prevented him from doing that. Now, he will shift his focus to the US Open, as he still can win his 23rd Grand Slam title this year. With the rival, Novak Djokovic, most likely miss the tournament due to non-vaccination.
