The Spaniard, Rafael Nadal, is hailed as one of the greatest tennis players of all time. He is known for his leadership qualities on the tennis court, but tennis fans never expected to see him take up a coaching role. The Spaniard recently switched to coach mode as he was spotted giving a few tips to Norwegian tennis player, Casper Ruud.

Many tennis fans were amused to see Nadal as a coach and they reacted hilariously to Spaniard’s new role during the Laver Cup.  As a result, Twitter was flooded with reaction fans from the tennis community.

Fans react after seeing Rafael Nadal take up a coaching role

The Spaniard, Nadal, was spotted encouraging his team member, Casper Ruud, during the Laver Cup. They both are representing Team Europe in the tournament.

However, tennis fans were surprised to see Nadal switching to coach mode as one of the tennis fans with the username @juancamaney08 reacted, “He loves to do it”

Another fan reacted “Rafael Nadal has a world record 5 Davis Cups because of this kind of team leadership.” He further added, “The Rafael Nadal Academy is on site this weekend.”

One of the tennis fans stated that Ruud is getting some tennis advice from one of the tennis greats as he stated, “Learning from the best” Another fan reacted by saying, “Good advice as Ruud style is closest to Rafa”

While some fans appreciated the two tennis rivals, “I love this event solely because all these great rivals can become a great team mate to each other.”

Another fan stated, “Rafa got this. Borg knows 😂”. Meanwhile some fans called the Spaniard “coachdal 😎”. Another tennis fan stated, “Who better to coach than Rafa !!!”

Nadal to team up with his friend and rival, Roger Federer

Being the last competition of Swiss tennis legend, Roger Federer, the Laver Cup has already become an exciting and emotional event for tennis fans. The 20-time grand slam winner, Federer, will team up with his friend and rival, Rafael Nadal, later today.

Fans are excited to see two of the greatest tennis players of all time play together. Nadal and Federer will represent Team Europe during the tournament. The team includes the “Big Four”- Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray, Roger Federer, and Rafael Nadal.
