Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios made a winning start to his Wimbledon campaign. In a thrilling match, the 27-year-old defeated Paul Jubb 3-6, 6-1, 7-5, 6-7 (3-7), 7-5.
Kyrgios dropped the first set but came back to win the next two before the 22-year-old Briton won four successive points to clinch the fourth on a tie break. In an intense deciding set, Jubb broke back to level at 5-5 but Kyrgios hit the decisive blow of the Briton’s serve, to seal the match.

Speaking to the media, after the match, the 27-year-old Aussie started eating casually in the middle of the press conference.

While for most players, the press conference after an intense first round of the Wimbledon Championship will be a serious affair, the Aussie tennis star treated it pretty casually. While addressing the press conference after his first-round win against Paul Juub, the 27-year-old started eating his food.
The video went viral on social media and many fans found it funny. Although a section of fans weren’t impressed by his behavior.
Notably, Kyrgios has always made it to the headlines for his unapologetic attitude and comments. Recently, the Australian star took to his Instagram account to call out abusive fans.

Not the first time Kyrgios did it
Nick Kyrgios has done a similar thing in a press conference earlier as well. Back in 2019, he gulped down a bottle of beer in the middle of a press conference.

Playing for the Team World in the Laver Cup, the Aussie had earlier pulled out of his match against Dominic Thiem. Replacing him, Taylor Fritz came in as a substitute and won the match. When asked to comment on his performance, the 27-year-old picked up a bottle of beer and said ‘wow’ and emptied the bottle after that.

Although it’s a debatable topic if what he did was right or wrong, but he surely entertains the fans. Now that he has won the first round, Kyrgios will look to have a better performance in the second round tomorrow.
