Further, the challenge ahead was difficult as he was up against the ‘King of Clay’ Rafael Nadal. Although Sinner lost to the 21-time Grand Slam champion, it was only the beginning of the journey to the top.

Subsequently, in the same year, he won his first ATP title in Sofia, Bulgaria. Since then he has added four more titles to his kitty.

The Italian has begun his preparations in full swing for the Dubai Duty-Free Tennis Championships. He was looking in good shape as he turned up with his fellow countryman and former professional player Simone Vagnozzi.

Vagnozzi is one of the most prominent coaches in Italy. He was the coach of Marco Cecchinato when he defeated Novak Djokovic to reach the French Open semifinals in 2018. Further, he has also worked with Stefano Travaglia.

Until last month, the Italian was training with long-time coach Riccardo Piatti since he was a youngster. He left his home when he was 13 to train at the Piatti Tennis Center in Bordighera, Italy. However, after the last month’s Australian Open the two parted ways and he has been looking to hire a ‘super coach’ to take his game to the next level.
How did the Italian perform at the Australian Open 2022?

Sinner started his 2022 season at the ATP cup where he won all of his three matches. Further, in the inaugural Grand Slam of the season, he carried his good form as he breezed through his opening rounds.
However, he couldn’t proceed beyond the quarterfinals as he lost to Stefanos Tsitsipas in straight sets. The Italian would be eager to make a mark in the coming tournaments as he looks for a new ‘super coach’. But for now, the question remains, who will be his new coach?
