The Wimbledon final has forced Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz to reveal the best and worst of their sides so far. As we enter the final set of the match, the quality in this tie has been off the charts. Djokovic was cruising in the opening set, but Alcaraz managed to bounce back. The Spaniard took the third set before losing the fourth to the 23-time champion.

The highly anticipated final set started with some breathtaking tennis from both ends. However, once Alcaraz broke Djokovic’s serve to take a handy lead, the Serb started panicking. He tried to let out his frustration on his equipment when things did not go his way.

The Serb smacked his racket against the net and shattered it after trailing in the final set. It was a very risky method of taking out his anger, as he could have faced a point penalty here. But the umpire was generous enough to let it slide after handing over serve-time violations in the previous sets.

As expected, the crowd jeered the Serb as it was quite out of character. He is not quite the crowd favorite here at Wimbledon and this gesture certainly wouldn’t help. To make things worse, Djokovic also created a dent in the net post with his strike.
