Further, continuing his impressive start to the season, Nadal won the ATP 500 title in Acapulco, Mexico. However, Nadal lost his first match this season when he went down to the local hero, Taylor Fritz, in the summit clash of the BNP Paribas Open. Nonetheless, this defeat had come after Nadal was on a 21-match winning streak.
Nadal is in his hometown currently after being sidelined from the tour due to an injury. Recently, a fan shared a video of the Spanish legend at his academy.

After the Indian Wells final, Nadal admitted that he had breathing issues during the latter half of the tournament. He said, “I had pain. Honestly, it’s tough to, as I said, I have problems to breathe because I don’t know if it’s something on the rib. I am not sure yet, but when I am breathing and when I am moving, it’s like a needle all the time inside here. I get dizzy little bit because it’s painful.”
Subsequently, after the Indian Wells final, Nadal underwent some tests. The Spaniard had a stress fracture in his ribs which ruled him out for 4-6 weeks.
