In a match that’s filled with drama throughout, Nick Kyrgios’ aggressive game play and behavior got the worst out of Stefanos Tsitsipas in their third-round contest at Wimbledon Championships 2022.

Right before the start of the match, there was intense excitement surrounding this contest as both the players were known for their entertaining style of play. Even though Tsitsipas was better in terms of ranking, Kyrgios entered the tournament in high spirits and looked extremely comfortable and confident in both his matches at SW19.

Coming to the match, Tsitsipas took the first set in a tie-breaker and an engaging second set witnessed the Australian edging past Tsitsipas to level the match. Third set was where all the drama began as the Greek star received a point penalty.

Initially, Tsitsipas didn’t realize that he was awarded penalty and once he got to know of the same, he went on rant against the umpire. Sensing frustration on his opponent’s face, Kyrgios calmed himself down as he realized that it was the right moment to clinch the third.

The Aussie did the same as he dominated Tsitsipas completely to win the set, 6-3. Tsitsipas, who was frustrated over what was happening on-court, decided to show his anger towards his opponent.

Tsitsipas shows visible frustration over Kyrgios

The Greek star decided to take the attack to Kyrgios as he didn’t even think twice before aiming the shot directly at his opponent. This happened a couple of times during the third set and the Australian star decided to not react to this anger from Tsitsipas.

In the heat of the moment, Tsitsipas directed his anger at the Aussie as the crowd started booing the former for his unexpected demeanor. It took a while for the heat to calm down as the fourth set is now leveled at 3-3.

All this drama made sure that the fans at court-1 got their bucks worth as there was no dull moment in this engaging contest between Nick Kyrgios and Stefanos Tsitsipas.
