Kyrgios reposted the video on his Instagram story, commenting, “Very fair in my opinion” with the post. Clearly, the Aussie feels like he has nothing to apologize for regarding his hit on Nadal.
After the match had concluded and he had lost to Nadal, Nick Kyrgios had defended his move in the post-match conference as well.
When asked if he regretted his move, Kyrgios replied, “I don’t care. Why would I apologize?” He further talked about Nadal’s many Grand Slam wins and his ‘money in the bank account’, saying “I think he can take a ball to the chest, bro.”

It would be a fair statement to make that Rafael Nadal wasn’t too happy about Kyrgios’ antics that day. Prior to his hit on the Spaniard, Kyrgios had also surprised him with an underhanded serve.
Nadal couldn’t get to the ball from way behind the baseline in time. Thus, it was counted as an ace.
