It is worth noting that Alcaraz has already beaten both Nadal and Djokovic once. Earlier in the Madrid Open, he beat both of them on his way to the title. Interestingly, he has yet to face them in a Grand Slam tournament, which could be a massive test for the young Spaniard.
Although Alcaraz faced both Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic in tour-level matches, he never clashed with Roger Federer on the tour. So, fans are eagerly waiting for that encounter. Notably, Alcaraz is scheduled to play in Swiss Indoors in Basel, where Federer will also play. So, there is a good chance we might see a Federer vs Alcaraz match going forward.
However, there’s a dark cloud floating over Federer’s head, as he has a slight concern regarding his knee injury. Last year, he went through surgery on his knee and he has not played since then, missing more than a year on the tour. He announced his return this month at the Laver Cup, where he can evaluate his current fitness and knee injury.
