Regardless of his on-court success, the Swiss tennis star has always maintained a humble personality. A great example of this was visible in a rare photo shared by a film executive on social media. It revealed Roger Federer’s humility as he photographed Serena Williams with a film executive.

Roger Federer takes a photograph of Serena Williams

Franklin Leonard, an American film executive, recently shared a photo of himself with Serena Williams. Surprisingly, it was Federer, one of the greatest players of all time, who photographed Serena with the film executive. He captioned his photo on Twitter, “Put it this way: I asked Roger Federer to take the photo. #SerenaWilliams”

Leonard further stated, “I am lucky enough to meet a few of them from time to time. Can’t be out here in public acting like I’ve spent social time with the greatest and the greatest mens tennis player of all time outside of asking one to take a photo of the other with me.”

Federer’s gesture toward Leonard shows his humble nature. Despite being a legend in tennis, he often engages in activities to please his fans and show a side of his personal life with them.

Federer pays an emotional tribute to Serena

The Swiss tennis player, Roger Federer, shared his farewell messages for Serena Williams, who announced her plans to retire after the US Open.

Federer paid tribute to Serena Williams in a video, saying he would miss her on the court. He said, “I wanted to congratulate you for a most incredible career.… Please return to the tennis community and family. We will always welcome you with open arms and we will always be happy to see you again, so please return.”

The 20-time Grand Slam champion hasn’t been seen on the court in over a year. He will compete at this year’s Laver Cup representing Team Europe. Later, he will make his official return to the ATP tour at the Swiss Indoors Basel. With Federer entering 40s, it is only a matter of time before we will see another modern day great depart the sport.
