Tsitsipas, after defeating Thiem, jokingly said that he knew there no one would support him against Murray. In the post-match speech, he reminisced about Murray’s first title and agreed that it would be an extremely difficult match.?
“I’m not expecting anyone to be supporting me! I remember witnessing his first Wimbledon title, and thinking about it now kinda gives me goosebumps because I kind of felt what he went through during that final and it was so difficult for him to close that last game, and every time I rewatch that moment, I just feel shivers all over my body.”??
Knowing that Murray plays well at Wimbledon, he also said that he wishes for a Centre Court fight.?
“That court over there is almost like his living room. I hope we can play a Centre Court battle. I’ve never played on the Centre Court; the furthest I’ve gone is Court One, so let’s just pray for that.”??

When Andy Murray lost respect for the Greek player
The feud between the two players happened at the 2021 US Open. They played against each other in a first-round bout. It went on for a mind-boggling five hours, with Tsitsipas being the triumphant player. But after the match, Murray felt that injustice took place as Tsitsipas took a long bathroom break in the fifth set.
