Federer loves attending music concerts, and he made it clear with his appearances at Taylor Swift, Elton John, and Coldplay’s concerts. When the former World No.1 attended Elton John’s music concert in March, Coldplay’s Chris Martin invited the Swiss legend to perform at their concert. Part of the uber-popular band witnessed the match between Casper Ruud and Tommy Paul yesterday. Chris Martin and Jonny Buckland graced the stands when Federer’s favorite ‘Team Europe’ won its first points. The 42-year-old tennis legend was captured eagerly explaining the game to Martin as Ruud defeated Paul.
Last year’s Laver Cup ended with heartbreaking memories, and Federer waved his wand to ease the pain this year. The hearty conversation of King Roger with Rafael Nadal, the Swiss star explaining his wife Mirka Federer‘s support, and heartwarming family tales are slowly replacing the bitter memories. The presence of the British rock band’s members also brought back some incredible memories from the past. Federer and Coldplay have always admired each other, but the band’s lead singer once expressed a crazy next-life wish that put him ‘under’ the 20-time Grand Slam champion.
