The rising American tennis star Taylor Fritz is undoubtedly the best American men’s tennis player right now, according to the latest ATP rankings. So far in 2023, the World No. 10 has reached the semifinals of the Dallas Open, Delray Beach Open, Mexican Open, and the Monte Carlo Masters. Now, Fritz is competing at the 2023 BMW Open and has made his way into the semifinals of the Munich tournament as well. As usual, Fritz’s girlfriend, Morgan Riddle, the famous social media influencer and model, is by his side in Munich, cheering him on.
Riddle also seems to be making the most of her time in Munich by exploring the city. In one of her recent Instagram posts, she shared a picture of the Michael Jackson memorial in the city. Seemingly, the memorial has become her favorite Munich destination, albeit for a strange reason.

In Riddle’s Instagram story, her fans got a glimpse at Munich’s Michael Jackson memorial in the background. Riddle added a caption to the post, which read, “i think my favorite part of Munich so far is this michael jackson memorial that’s under a statue of not michael jackson”.
The statue above the Michael Jackson memorial in Munich is not one of the legendary pop star’s. It is a tribute to Orlande de Lassus, a renowned composer from the late Renaissance era. So, why is the memorial situated under a statue of a Renaissance composer?
Turns out that there’s a hotel opposite to de Lassus’ statue, which was MJ’s favorite play to stay in Munich. There have been ongoing talks regarding setting up a separate memorial for the pop icon at a nearby location. However, until those talks translate into action, Orlande de Lassus’ statue is where you need to go to give MJ your love and respect in Munich.

Fritz aims for his second title of the season at the BMW Open
The 2023 season got underway with a title for Riddle’s boyfriend, Fritz, at the inaugural United Cup, where he was a part of the United States team. Since then, Fritz has failed to go beyond the semifinals across all the tournaments he has featured in. Fritz also came in for some sharp criticism owing to his actions during an exhibition match at Indian Wells. The American ace would want to make amends at Munich’s BMW Open. So far, the tournament has been quite good for him.
