There is some good news for all Dominic Thiem fans. Thiem’s physical conditions are progressing day by day. The Austrian was out from the ATP Tour since Mallorca Open in June 2021. He suffered a major right wrist injury, leading to his absence from the tennis world.

However, Thiem has started to prepare for the upcoming 2022 season. In an Instagram post shared by the Austrian, he’s seen working out with utmost determination. We are hoping to see him back in action at the much-awaited Australian Open 2022.

Dominic Thiem is ready for the new season

The 2020 US Open champion, Dominic Thiem was on an injury hiatus since this year’s Mallorca Open. After focusing on his injury for almost 6 months, the Austrian has finally announced optimistic news. In his new Instagram post, he posted snaps from his training session.

Moreover, he also mentioned that he’s confident in making a comeback in the 2022 season. ” After 2 months of hard work and preparing for the new season, it’s finally time to chase the sun,” wrote Thiem.

Thiem’s progression was seen in the images shared. He can be seen pouring a lot of effort into all the exercises he did. Thiem appears to be eager to get back on the tour and produce some noteworthy performances.

Thiem’s 2021 achievements

Putting aside the injury period of Dominic Thiem, he has struggled throughout the season. The former World No. 3 started his campaign with a fourth-round exit at the Australian Open 2021. Grigor Dimitrov stunned Thiem as he registered a straight-set victory.

Surprisingly, Thiem lost in the first round itself at the French Open 2021 to Pablo Andujar. This came as quite a surprise to all the tennis fans. Thiem played his last match at Mallorca Open before withdrawing from his match against Adrian Mannarino.
