‘Thousand Chats on WhatsApp…’- 37-Year-Old Italian Girlfriend Details the Beginning of a Never-Ending Romance With Tennis Star Matteo Berrettini

Love is ubiquitous. No one is immune to it and tennis players are also a part of the fever. Matteo Berrettini and his girlfriend Melissa Satta are the couple everyone is focusing on. Satta recently gave an interview where she related how the two fell in love with each other.

Additionally, she also talked about the social media abuse she had been receiving. Fans of Berrettini have been blaming Satta for Berrettini’s slump. The model was not one to relent and shot back at everyone.

Matteo Berrettini and girlfriend’s crazy love story

Matteo Berrettini and Melissa Satta officially confirmed that the two were dating in January of this year. Prior to Satta, Berrettini was dating Ajla Tomljanović, but their relationship ended last year. Recently, Satta gave an interview in the Italian edition of Vanity Fair, where she touched up on her relationship. 

Satta discussed how she and Berrettini met and started dating. As per her, the two met in Miami during a dinner with mutual friends, and their conversation took off from there.

“In Miami, at a dinner with mutual friends. We talked to each other, we exchanged phone numbers, and we started talking from there. The next day we were both leaving, my life is in Milan, he lives in Montecarlo,“ Satta told Vanity Fair.

She further explained that the two continued texting and said that she was smitten. “A thousand chats on WhatsApp. Which never ended. I’ve met people at dinner and exchanged numbers, but often it ends as it began. Not with Matteo: if we are still here, it is because then we managed to meet… In various cities.“

Satta suffers abuse from haters

Berrettini’s performance since the start of the year has been rather unsatisfactory. His fans have been outraged at seeing their favorite player perform terribly and found Satta to be a scapegoat. Berrettini returned home in April, and the two spent a lot of time together. Satta shared pictures of their fun on Instagram, which garnered a lot of hate. However, the Italian model has hit back at them.

Satta has spoken out against the people blaming her while speaking out against the sexist behavior of people blaming the partner of a player. Berrettini has also been criticized once for running around shirtless with his girlfriend. Berrettini’s return to form, however, is sure take the heat off from both of them.
