As the world celebrated Halloween, little did Taylor Fritz and Morgan Riddle know that a horrific experience was on the way. The power couple had flown down to London after Fritz’s early exit from the Paris Masters. The American star bowed out of the tournament after losing to Jack Draper in the round of 32 contest. However, Fritz and Riddle’s London experience turned into a nightmare as the latter shared horrifying details about their time there.

Fritz and Riddle opted to stay in Airbnb instead of booking a hotel room. Unfortunately, they were victims of a burglary attempt as Riddle took to her official Instagram account to share details of the incident. The event occurred early in the morning as they spotted someone trying to break into their room.

Riddle, while sharing glimpses of the chilling incident via stories on her Instagram handle, wrote, “At 4 am this morning Taylor and I wake up to someone trying to enter the code and break into the front door of the Airbnb we’re staying at in London. I tell Taylor to run and lock the secondary lock as they’re standing outside trying to get in and ITS BEEN REMOVED??? Of all potential weapons in the house this man grabs a racket. Airbnb is SO unsafe. They are intentionally targeted in many cities. Houses are nice for longer stays but please just stay in a hotel, especially if you are traveling alone or only with girls.”

But this wasn’t the first time that Riddle was a victim of a burglary incident at Airbnb. She revealed further through her Insta stories that back in 2017, when she stayed at Airbnb, she woke up to a man standing beside her when she was sleeping. Further, back in July this year as well, she and her friend walked into someone actively robbing their flat. As a result, Riddle advised caution to anyone opting for Airbnb.

Talking about Taylor Fritz, this was a terrible experience for the American star off the court, but on the court, he is enjoying some of the best moments of his career. Earlier this year, he reached the US Open final, beating the likes of Casper Ruud, Alexander Zverev and Frances Tiafoe, before eventually losing to Jannik Sinner. The 27-year-old believes he is yet to hit his peak.

Taylor Fritz on his US Open run: ‘Still a lot of room for improvement’

Playing on his home turf in the season’s last Grand Slam in New York, Fritz reached his maiden final before falling short in the summit clash. Nonetheless, it was a wonderful campaign for Fritz, having never reached this stage before. Additionally, with consistent performances this year, Fritz is well positioned inside the top 10 in the world rankings. He is currently occupying the 6th spot. The American star feels he can go the distance and win Grand Slam tournaments now.

Fritz revealed, “It is a great feeling to have gotten to this point, knowing that I’m playing well, but I’m playing very within myself, and I feel like it’s repeatable… I know that there’s still a lot of room for improvement. And something I’ve said throughout my entire career, whether it’s when I won my first ATP point or I won my first challenger or I made my first round of 16 or whatever it is, I’ve always said once I do something once, I just feel a lot more confident in being able to do it again.”

Fritz has already qualified for the ATP Finals in Turin. Can he finish his season on a high by winning the year-ending championships? Let us know your views in the comments below.
