If you are a Rafael Nadal fan, you are aware of the fact that, apart from his love for tennis, there is one more thing that he enjoys the most. The Spaniard has shared a special love for the sea and shares a passion for boats since his childhood. That is why, a few years ago, he purchased a catamaran, the Sunreef 80 Great White, for around $8.5 million.

While the 22-time Grand Slam champion is quite fascinated with the catamaran he owns, his arch-rival, Roger Federer, on the other hand, keeps his hands away from such expensive possessions.

No doubt the Spaniard is a sea person as he grew up seeing his father sailing his boat on his home island of Mallorca. Now he has started following in his father’s footsteps with his iconic possession, which is quite expensive.

Without a doubt, the way he wants to unwind after a game is a perfect dream for many tennis fans. While his main adversary, Roger Federer, who has a net worth of about $550 million, isn’t a big fan of the sea, he does, however, own a million-dollar private plane, the Bombardier 600.

Last year, Nadal, in an interview with Boot International, talked in detail about his 24-meter superyacht. He said, “The pressure of competing every single day is high, you can’t hide that. When I come back home, I have the chance to go out and spend maybe just one day away from everything without thinking about tennis, just diving and spending the night on board.”

He added that the yacht is so cosy that it feels like a home on the water. Additionally, the yacht is practically 12 meters wide, which opens up a lot of opportunities for people to have their jet-skis on the boat and take in the view of the sea.
