37YO French ATP Veteran Gael Monfils Pens a Heartfelt Note as Daughter’s ‘First Birthday’ Leaves Him Overwhelmed With ‘Emotions’

A child needs all the love from their parents. French star Gael Monfils seems to understand that concept quite well. Monfils recently shared an Instagram post with a very emotional caption. He became a father last year and has been posting cute baby pictures since then. However, this post is a bit more special than the other ones. He worded the post in a very heartwarming way. 

Monfils is married to the 17 WTA title winner Elina Svitolina. The couple was blessed with a baby daughter in October last year. Ever since then, they have posted many pictures of their cute little daughter, Skai.

Gael Monfils and his love for Skai

Gael turned professional back in 2004 and he got married in 2021. However, it seems like his happiest moment was when he held his daughter for the first time, just like every dad in this world. His love for his daughter is visible in multiple posts on his Instagram.

He starts on a celebratory note, wishing: “Skaï, today, as we celebrate your first birthday, my heart is filled with emotions. Every moment spent by your side reminds me of how lucky I am to have you.” 

We can already see how much this day means for him. Gael goes a little further talking about all the moments he spent with his daughter. He emphasizes the fact that he feels lucky to have Skai. But that’s not the end of it, as he then starts talking about every feature he loves about the baby.

In his words: “Your smile, your laughter, and even your tears have brought a unique color to my daily life. You’ve truly illuminated and transformed my world.”

He ends the caption with more love and well-wishes as he says: “For you, my little gem, I wish you all the imaginable happiness and all the wonders life has to offer. Happy first birthday, my little princess. 🎂❤️” Well it is obvious that Skai is going to grow into a very loving and caring family. It is the little things like these that keep a child warm.
