Frances Tiafoe, America’s rising star on the ATP Tour, took the trophy home at the first grass-court tournament of the year, at the BOSS Open in Stuttgart. He won his third ATP title, boosting him into the top 10. Everyone, including the 25-year-old tennis star’s girlfriend and many of his supporters, poured in their wishes for him. Despite their joy, the indifference shown by a particular broadcaster got on their nerves.
The world’s tenth-ranked tennis player won his third career championship at the BOSS Open. However, many tennis fans missed out on the moment since the victory was not broadcasted. It caused a stir in the tennis community, as there was a lot of criticism for the Tennis Channel, a popular American broadcaster, for not airing his finals.

Fans are not happy with the Tennis Channel, not broadcasting Tiafoe’s winning moment
The 25-year-old tennis player took on Jan-Lennard Struff in the thrilling Stuttgart Open finals. It was quite a heavy-hitting encounter at the ATP 250 event that lasted 2 hours and 12 minutes. However, tennis fans are not happy that the finals were not aired by a well-known broadcasting company.
A tennis enthusiast took to his Twitter account to share her views with his followers. The fan wrote, “Would’ve been AMAZING if Tennis Channel could actually be broadcasting a career milestone moment for Frances Tiafoe as he picks up his 3rd career ATP title and books a spot into the world’s TOP TEN for the first time. But I suppose that’s not entertaining enough.”

A lot of fans agreed with the take and flooded the comment section. With messages for the Tennis channel for not broadcasting one of the best milestone moments of the 25-year-old tennis player.
I was wondering what had happened. It’s a big shame to the network

A fan wrote, “Same as it always was. They just couldn’t wait to get back to pickleball.”
Same as it always was.
They just couldn’t wait to get back to pickleball. 🙄

A lot of fans slammed the broadcaster for airing Pickleball and not a tennis match.
It is ridiculous! I pay to watch tennis on the Tennis Channel, not pickleball!!!!

Fans slammed Tennis Channel for showing Pickleball more than tennis.
I just saw that they were apparently airing pickleball. While a popular American was playing in a final. Unreal

Even the Australian tennis coach Rennae Stubbs commented on the post. She wrote, “What was on the network!?”
What was on the network!?
— Rennae Stubbs 🟦👍🏼 (@rennaestubbs) June 19, 2023
Further, they blasted the channel for the ridiculous behavior.
Same. As much as the channel focuses on Americans, to not show @FTiafoe win his first grass court and enter top ten is more than an oversight. https://t.co/5EimWn8sY0

Another user commented how they turned it into a pickleball channel now.
That’s the pickleball channel now https://t.co/zkQhl3lEgp

On the other hand, some pointed out the Tennis Channel, commented on the accusations regarding tennis gaining less popularity in the US.
I kept checking and couldn't believe it wasn't being shown. It's not even a small tournament!
They have no right to complain about the loss of popularity for the sport in the US when they don't show a win like this!— Rebecca Winter (@SkyCatch_Her) June 18, 2023
Others questioned the reason behind not broadcasting such a career milestone moment for Tiafoe.
It was ridiculous not to show the Tiafoe match – especially with the importance it carried. So tired of trying to get the message to @TennisChannel that we want to watch tennis on TV! 💙🎾

In addition, a fan also figured out that they broadcasted the WTA Finals of the BOSS Open, but left out the men’s final.
Network played the Kuder vs Alex WTA final in the Netherlands, never cut to Tiafoe/Struff at all. Showed the whole trophy ceremony and then went into the ATP final between Grieks and Thompson. After that finished….straight to Pickleball 🙄. No mention of Tiafoe win AT all.

Not only that, but a fan also joked about who would have carelessly missed the ATP finals.
I think someone must’ve been asleep at the wheel. Given how likable and marketable Frances is, I can’t imagine they intentionally not show it. But I could be wrong lol
