With the Wimbledon Championship 2022 going on, people are missing the best-ever player in the tournament. Notably, the 40-year-old has missed Wimbledon for the first time since 1998. With 20 Grand Slam titles, Federer has enough reasons to make any tennis player envious. However, Andy Roddick has different reasons for the same.
Andy Roddick is jealous of Roger Federer
Talking about Roger Federer in a podcast, Roddick recalled something Federer had that he never had. While the Swiss legend has a lot of significant achievements, his easy-going nature made Roddick jealous.
“It’s his ease of operation, right he if the way that he is able to go about his business. I would play a practice match, be out there for two hours, I’d play it just like I was gonna play three days later in the front of a slam and I’d walk by roger’s court and he is laughing and joking and he is relaxed, that was where my jealousy came in,” he said.
Finally, when the American questioned Federer about the same, he replied,
“I just always hear this thing where people say they hate to lose, they hate to lose, I just can’t stand losing. I honestly just enjoy winning, more than I hate losing.”
