A controversial incident took place when the Serbian tennis legend, Novak Djokovic locked horns with the Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev in the semi-finals of the Adelaide International. During the match, the 21-time Grand Slam champion needed a medical break as he felt something in his hamstring. However, later on, Medvedev was spotted mocking Djokovic by trying to imitate his actions by holding the hamstring area.

The tennis community took note of the controversial incident at the tournament in Auckland. However, Medvedev’s actions were met with a flurry of reactions from the fans who slammed him for mocking Djokovic.

The Serbian tennis player, with his dominating performances, has outclassed some of the best players in order to reach the finals of the Adelaide International event. However, a controversial incident happened during Novak Djokovic’s semifinal match against Daniil Medvedev. During the first set, the 21-time Grand Slam champion appeared to have tweaked his hamstring. Djokovic further called the physio after he was spotted stretching out his hamstring.

However, Medvedev, later on, appeared to make fun of his opponent‘s injury as he tried to imitate his actions. The Russian tennis player tried to mimic the Serbian’s previous stretches with a wry smile. Consequently, the tennis community saw Medvedev’s actions as “disrespectful” during his match. The fans also took to social media to slam him for mocking Djokovic’s injury.

Notably, one of the fans said, “And people claim Medvedev is close with Djokovic lol. Medvedev is a classless bum who Djokovic should avoid hanging out with”

Meanwhile, some of the fans said that they believe the Russian tennis player was not trying to mock Djokovic. The fan said, “Did he really mock him or was it something else? I really wanna doubt that it is because I know there’s a lot of respect, but after how much Novak has owned him lately, maybe he’s a bit salty.”

Another fan said that the two players might be just “joking” with each other. The fan commented, “What if they were just joking at each other 🤷🏻‍♂️? I understand how people love to make up drama on here but still”
