However, a controversial incident happened during Novak Djokovic’s semifinal match against Daniil Medvedev. During the first set, the 21-time Grand Slam champion appeared to have tweaked his hamstring. Djokovic further called the physio after he was spotted stretching out his hamstring.
However, Medvedev, later on, appeared to make fun of his opponent‘s injury as he tried to imitate his actions. The Russian tennis player tried to mimic the Serbian’s previous stretches with a wry smile. Consequently, the tennis community saw Medvedev’s actions as “disrespectful” during his match. The fans also took to social media to slam him for mocking Djokovic’s injury.
