American tennis star, Taylor Fritz, has been in much news of late. The 26-year-old is having a brilliant run at the ongoing Australian Open where he has reached the quarterfinals. Interestingly, Fritz’s girlfriend, Morgan Riddle, had claimed that she would eat a jar of Vegemite live if her boyfriend won the fourth-round match against Stefanos Tsitsipas. Now that Fritz has kept his end of the challenge, the official page of Vegemite itself has contacted Riddle.

Riddle is quite popular in the tennis world, working as an influencer. She often shares her videos about trending topics in tennis. However, on this occasion, she retaliated on her promise.

Last week, Fritz sounded confident about his match against Tsitsipas. Meanwhile, Riddle felt that her boyfriend was getting a bit overconfident and proposed a challenge. After the introduction of this Vegemite challenge, and Fritz’s subsequent win, an interesting message landed in Riddle’s inbox.

As soon as Fritz won the match, Vegemite’s official Instagram handle had a message for his girlfriend, saying, “@moorrgs If you’re going to do it, at least do it right. Australia, thoughts?” However, Riddle proposed an alternative instead of Vegemite and said, “sourdough bread with heaps of buttah??”

Riddle’s recent episode about Vegemite is going viral on social media. Many fans have commented on her post, with some asking what will she eat if Fritz defeats Novak Djokovic in the Quarter-finals. On the other hand, Fritz too, has had a hilarious take on his girlfriend’s bizarre challenge.

What did Fritz say about his girlfriend’s Vegemite challenge?

The announcement by Riddle about her Vegemite challenge spread in the tennis world. As a result, when Fritz defeated Tsitsipas, the interviewer carried a jar of Vegemite during the on-court interview and asked Fritz if he would take part in this challenge along with his girlfriend.

Replying to this, he said, “I won’t be partaking (in eating Vegemite), but I’ll make sure it happens. I told them I would win today. My girlfriend thought I was too confident.”  While Fritz is excelling at the Australian Open, exchanges like these show the close bond between him and Riddle.
