Players’ off-court moments often grab just as much attention, and the latest one to spark chatter is none other than American star Taylor Fritz. But this time, it’s not his powerful forehand or his court tactics that’s causing a stir—it’s his latest off-court look! Fritz recently stepped out in a style choice that left fans everywhere doing a double-take. And let’s just say, the internet didn’t hold back! Hilarious reactions from fans have been pouring in, turning his new appearance into a talking point far beyond tennis. 

The American sensation played his latest match at the Shanghai Masters where he faced a baffling defeat at the hands of Novak Djokovic in straight sets 6-4, 7-6(6). But now, Fritz seems to be taking some much-deserved break from the sport. Fritz was spotted at the concert of Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll, also known by his stage name Kygo, and was seen sharing the stage with him. But what caught the attention of the fans was the look of the star player. 

In the clip which is going viral on the internet, Fritz can be seen in a different hair color. While the footage is not clear enough, it appears that the player has colored his hair in a blonde color. Sharing the clip on X, tennis commentator Steve Weissman wrote, “Special guest @Taylor_Fritz97  crushed it at the  @KygoMusic show in Hollywood!! 🔥🎾.” And the fans can’t keep their calm intact. 

As soon as the clip went viral, several fans took to their X accounts and shared hilarious reactions. Many people expressed their surprise over the latest look. Some even shed light on his singing skills and took the internet by storm.

Taking to X, one user wrote, “Men be like “dyed my hair blonde!” and it’s just yellow.” In the video, Fritz’s hair color does not seem to be very clear. It appears to be a shade of yellow, and not blonde, precisely. This made the fans throw a shade at the player with several criticizing his latest look. More people joined the fray. 

Responding to the post, another user wrote, “FRITZ DYED HIS HAIR!1!1?1!!???” Remember, Fritz has been quite vocal about his fashion. Speaking in an interview with Town & Country, Fritz opened up about his desire to amalgamate his sport with his off-court look. “The fashion off the court is something I’ve really been into,” Fritz shared. “Just having clothes on court that I feel like are fitting really nicely, stuff that I really enjoy wearing on the court. It’s a company that’s working very closely with me to make things the right way and how it feels good for me. It’s been amazing so far,” the star player added. But it seems like his latest experiment is not going well with the fans as they express their surprise over the player. Similar reactions continued to follow from other users as well. 

“…the hair colour!? What why,” another user questioned. This is not the first time when Fritz’s bond with fashion has surprised the fans. In an interview with Tennis Channel in September this year, the star player revealed his experience at Boss’ 25 Out of Office Show in Milan. “I took a flight to Milan yesterday morning. They told me I was opening the show, so I was a little bit nervous. So, yeah, opening it is a lot more. Things could go wrong, but it went pretty well,” he shared. He also added that he immediately returned to Berlin after the show for the Laver Cup, which highlighted his affection for not just the sport but fashion as well. 

One more user took to the platform and took a hilarious dig over the singing abilities of the player. “Damn, guess singing is hard!😯” the user wrote. Remember, Fritz can also be seen singing in the video clip which did not sound melodious enough to the fans. A similar criticism of him took place at the Shanghai Masters when a fan displayed a placard for the player that read, “Taylor Fritz is better than Taylor Swift !!!, (at tennis) (But worse at Singing).”

Yet another user simply expressed their surprise and wrote, “taylor wtf.” Now, it remains to be seen if the star player has actually made some changes to his hair color or if it was just the result of the lighting at the venue. Will he change his hair color amid the criticism? Well, only time will tell.
