Before that, a recent update came to light that his coach, Juan Carlos Ferrero, will not be a part of the tournament.

According to Marca, the 43-year-old tennis coach will be missing the event as he is currently recovering from an arthroscopy on his left knee. As soon as this news started surfing social media, tennis fans shared their confused feelings over the take. Subsequently, after a tennis channel dropped the update on Twitter, fans flooded the comment section with their take on the same concern.

A fan pointed out how there might be something fishy and wrote, “There’s more to it. If his knee surgery was recent, he’d be able to attend and coach.”

On the other hand, a fan questioned the timing of the surgery. He stated, “Why would he schedule surgery during the AO?”

That was not it. Another fan raised questions over Alcaraz’s coach’s absence. “Strange that for a knee arthroscopy, you don’t travel business to the AO 2024. And you are the coach. Not the player… Is there something else we don’t know?”

In addition, a fan wrote a straightforward query regarding this decision. “What does a knee have to do with coaching?”

Moreover, a Twitter user also highlighted how it might be a problem for the 20-year-old. “Ooh, he’s going to definitely miss the psychological support from Juan.”
