

There’s finally some positive news for Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. He has been facing some adversities due to his injury for the last couple of years; however, the Frenchman has always stayed optimistic.
It has been a very rusty year for him, and he hasn’t been able to showcase his noteworthy performances. Tsonga, who’s known for his powerful forehand strokes has eventually given some great news ahead of the 2022 season. Jo-Wilfried Tsonga trains at his academy
Recently, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has resumed his training at All In Tennis Academy in France. A is a high-level tennis academy & training center, it is run by Tsonga and tennis coach Thierry Ascione. In the video shared, Tsonga was seen hitting some groundbreaking forehands. The Frenchman is well known for his strong forehand winners along with court coverage.

Notably, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has triumphed over 18 ATP titles in the singles event, while 4 ATP titles across doubles events. In the team competitions, he has won at Hopman Cup in 2014 and Davis Cup in 2017 along with his fellow Frenchmen. He also reached an emphatic career-high ranking of World No. 5 in February 2012.

Apart from that, the Frenchman has also achieved the silver medal partnering with Michael Llodra at the doubles event at London Olympics in 2012.

Tsonga’s last professional match
Jo-Wilfried Tsonga’s last competed at the Wimbledon Championships 2021. In his opening round, he faced young Swedish talent Mikael Ymer. Despite leading by 2-1 in the first three sets, Tsonga crumbled in the subsequent sets. As a result, Ymer won against the Frenchman 7-5, 6-7, 5-7, 6-4, 6-3.

During this five-set marathon, Tsonga hit 16 aces and registered fewer double faults than the Swedish. However, he couldn’t clinch the victory, ending his Wimbledon 2021 run.
