Tennis fans recently had the honor of witnessing a documentary on Roger Federer‘s career. Directed by Asif Kapadia, the series “Federer: Last Twelve Days” showcased some of the last few moments of the Swiss tennis maestro’s presence as a professional tennis player. It has been just hours since the documentary was screened for the first time and a renowned American actor, who also viewed the masterpiece, found himself overwhelmed by witnessing the story.

Sendhil Ramamurthy came forward to express his excitement after viewing the story of Roger Federer’s last 12 days as a player. The documentary, which is set to be released on June 20 on Prime Video, made a profound impact on Ramamurthy, a huge tennis fan. “Had the immense pleasure of attending a screening of Federer: TWELVE FINAL DAYS, this evening,” he shared on X.

“It was everything I wanted it to be & more,” Ramamurthy added, mentioning how he enjoyed his time witnessing the last few matches of Federer and the emotions behind it. Summing up his comment on the documentary, which was originally only supposed to be a home video, Ramamurthy also urged his followers to take time and view the masterpiece directed by Asif Kapadia. Definitely check it out on @PrimeVideo @SportsonPrime. Congrats @asifkapadia. U killed it! #FEDERERDOC,” he wrote.

Ramamurthy’s liking for the tennis world isn’t something new. The actor has been consistent in sharing his thoughts about matches, as he recently did while Novak Djokovic had to go through a tough time against Alejandro Tabilo. When the Serb was already behind with one set lost, he came forward to hype him up with a comment that said, “I reckon Djoker still 97% favorite to win this match.”

Not only that but he has appeared in the same show as a retired tennis sensation. When one thinks of John McEnroe’s recent acting credits, Mindy Kaling’s Never Have I Ever comes to mind. With McEnroe narrating and Ramamurthy playing the titular character’s deceased father, it was a clash of worlds for the American actor given his love for tennis.

This reveals the actor’s consistent loyalty to the sport. Among the players whom he has stood for while they faced a tough time against an underdog also includes another one of the big 3.
