The tennis legend, Roger Federer, is known to be down-to-earth and reserved. The Swiss Maestro, however, now has a chance to share his life story. Federer will feature in the “Becoming Xtraordinary” docuseries, to share his journey in tennis and also beyond it. The 41-year-old former player will be sharing the screen with several outstanding figures from other fields, including Hollywood star, Julia Roberts.

After leaving the tennis scene, the 20-time Grand Slam champion has been experimenting with some new roles. He made his debut just 10 days ago as a co-chair of Met Gala 2023, suiting up in British designer Kim Jones’ designed-classic black suit, and walking the red carpet with his wife.

Becoming Xtraordinary will be produced by Bear Grylls’ production firm and streamed on the global family entertainment platform Da Vinci. As noted by Variety, the series offers interview-driven success tales from some well-known athletes and celebrities. The show will also feature Olympic gold medalists, Nobel laureates, Julia Roberts, Courteney Cox, Channing Tatum, and the 41-year-old tennis legend, Roger Federer.

The former tennis star and Julia Roberts, who has won three Golden Globes, will be seen on the screen together for the first time. They won’t, however, be seen side by side in the series because the format is interview-based; instead, they will merely be seen talking about their real-life experiences.

The documentary has been announced to feature three seasons, each with ten episodes with Bear Grylls acting as the presenter. Additionally, the first season will debut on Da Vinci’s linear platform and other video-on-demand services on May 28. According to Variety, the British adventurer, who is also a producer, revealed his idea that there are no shortcuts to secrets, but there are some secrets that might help you accomplish greatness. The docuseries’ first trailer is out. In the video, one can get catch a glimpse of the Swiss maestro at the beginning itself.

The trailer of the documentary series was released a few days ago on Da Vinci’s official YouTube channel. In addition, in one of the scenes of the promo, the 20-time Grand Slam champion shared that he lost his first match to Six Love, Six Love.
